Sarah and Josh decided to have their engagement session in Downtown Chicago. I am so excited to be their wedding photographer in August!

They have such a sweet love story. They met 4 years ago on a plane, and immediately fell in love with each other. Josh decided to make things official last year in the fall.

He is a big history buff, so he asked Sarah to join him for dinner, and the WWI exhibit at Navy Pier. Josh’s great grandfather fought on the front lines in France during the WWI.  Dinner was delicious and they read some letters that Josh’s great grandfather wrote while in France.  Also, some articles from the newspaper including the engagement and wedding announcement of his great grandparents. Sarah didn’t suspect anything, especially because it was a Tuesday.

After seeing the WWI exhibit, they walked over to Olive Park. Josh got down on one knee and surprised Sarah with a proposal. Did I mention he proposed with the same engagement ring his great grandfather proposed with in 1923?
